By accessing or using Akir (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Akir is a project-based AI reasoning workspace that allows users to organise thinking, manage knowledge, and collaborate with AI models. The Service is provided as-is and may change at any time.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service in a way that degrades availability for others.
5. API Keys and AI Providers
If you provide your own API keys for third-party AI providers, you remain solely responsible for usage, costs, and compliance with those providers' terms. Akir stores keys encrypted but is not liable for charges incurred through your keys.
6. Uploaded Content
You retain ownership of all files and content you upload. By uploading, you grant Akir a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your content to train models.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time with reasonable notice where possible.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akir and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
